#ENDSARS: BudgIT’s Moses Motoni Alive & Granted Bail – Police
The Nigerian Police have said that Moses Motoni is alive and was not arrested by SARS operatives. Moses Motoni, a project tracking official at BudgIT Nigeria, one of Nigeria’s leading anti-corruption NGOs was reported to have been arrested and detained by Special Anti-Robbery Squad (SARS) for an unknown offense.
But BudgIT Nigeria in a statement on its Twitter handle said Moses Motoni was arrested on the order of Senator Mohammed Sani of Niger State while he sensitizing citizens on the budget and that the Police said he was reportedly disturbing public peace. But the police on its Twitter handle said Moses Motoni was being granted bail.
I visited Moses Motoni who was arrested by members of the @PoliceNG for inciting the public, he has being granted bail & wasn't arrested by #Sars as erroneously reported. #ReformSARS https://t.co/U69VG6cmp1 pic.twitter.com/iwcxknJWck

This is the statement of the Police. Moses Motoni was sensitizing citizens on the budget but Police said he was reportedly disturbing public peace. We maintain that his arrest was on the order of Senator Mohammed Sani of Niger State. #EndSARS pic.twitter.com/4arN2eBejJ
