Canada’s tennis no. 1 superstar and current men’s world no. 10 — Felix Auger-Aliassime, recorded yet another title triumph in Belgium, Antwerp, making it two trophies in the space of two weeks, first in Florence ATP (Indoor Hardcourt) and 3rd career title, all in 2022.

It’s been a great season for the Montreal born talent, recording title triumphs in ATP Rotherdam, Firenze Open, Italy & now, European Open tournament in Antwerp, Belgium.

On the road to victory, he was seeded #2 and given a R1 bye, defeated Manuel Guinard in straight sets (R2, 6-3 6-3), faced tough resistance in the quarterfinals vs. Great Britain’s Daniel Evans but eventually edged out the world no. 26 in 2hrs 42min (6-4, 6-7, 2,6), a semifinals straight set win against Richard Gasquet, albeit in two tiebreaks (6-7 6-7) and in the final, defeating American youngster, Sebastian Korda in straight sets 6-3 6-4.

This takes him to 8 wins in 10 days while dropping just 2 sets in 2 tournaments and further strengthens his spot for the ATP finals, ahead of Taylor Fritz, and Hurkacz Hubert.
