65 year old Businessman Commits Suicide in Kano
The incident, according to the report, happened in the morning of Tuesday, November 24, at the Sheka quarters in the metropolis.
The deceased said to be a very successful businessman who dealt in cement and building materials in the state, was allegedly seen with a sharp knife which he used to cut his throat and before anyone could go to his help, he had given up the ghost.
A witness who saw the suicide, told the police:
“Before people could do anything, he cut his throat and finally gave up the ghost.”
The State Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO), ASP Magaji Majiya, has confirmed the story, stating that the command received the news of the incident from Sheka Divisional Police Headquarters around 9:30 a.m on the same day, adding that the command has begun investigations into the matter.
