US Rapper, Drake Breaks Record, Becomes First Artist To Hit 50 Billion Streams

Drizzy Drake Becomes the first artist to hit 50 billion streams. Drake has broken several records over the past few years and the truth is, that he has dominated the music game ever since he debuted for the first time in 2009 with So Far Gone.

His latest album Scorpion is spending its fifth straight week at the number 1 spot on the Billboard 200 chart this week while his single ‘In My Feelings’ has been at the top spot for four weeks. With this, Drake’s total Hot 100 run this year has been 23 weeks which is close to 6 months. There have only been 31 weeks in 2018 so far. Let that sink in.

Drizzy has achieved another milestone today. He has become the first artist in history to surpass 50 billion streams across all global streaming platforms, according to a press release from his label, Republic Records.
