Miss World Contestant Goes Missing Few Days Before The Miss World Pageant

“Maria Jose Alvarado, a Miss World contestant has disappeared days before she was due to fly to London for the 2014 competition.

The Miss Honduras 2014 has been missing since last Thursday Nov 13th. Maria, 19, vanished along with her sister, Sofia, (Pictured top left) after attending a friend’s party that Thursday night in Santa Barbara, Honduras. The two sisters have not been seen or heard from after they said goodbye to other friends at the party.

Four people, including Sofia’s sister the owner of the venue the party held have so far been arrested as they were the last people to see them alive. But the men deny any involvement in their disappearance.

Pedro Sula city in Honduras, which is very close to Santa Barbara, is the murder capital of the world with more than 1,200 killings a year among its one millions inhabitants.”
