Wizkid breaks record, becomes first African to hit 8m Spotify listeners

Nigerian Afropop/AfroBeat sensation, Wizkid has emerged the first African artist to hit 8million streams on Spotify.

Spotify, an online music streaming platform that pays royalties based on the number of artist streams, made this known.

Wizkid beat former record holder, Congolese rapper and singer, Maitre Gims to become number one in Africa.
