It’s been another good day for the Nigerian music industry as Wizkid picks up the “Best Collaboration Award” for his record breaking single “Essence” ft. Tems & Canadian singer Justin Beiber.

The song became the first African song to be nominated and win in this category and also Wizkid’s 4th career BET Award win.

In the Best International Act category, Tems edged out UK rapper Dave, Little Simz, Major League DJz, Fireboy DML, Tayc, Fally Ipupa, Dinos and Ludmilla to win her second BET Award following the best collaboration award win earlier thanks to Wizkid’s “Essence”.
