The release of the song was delayed, presumably due to Sexyy Red giving birth to her second child. However, the wait was worth it as the track offers a wild ride of beats and lyrics that perfectly blend Nardo and Red’s styles.

“Somethin’” is all about being so obsessed with your partner that you can’t pinpoint a single reason for the infatuation. The beat carries a dark, Memphis-like sound with its ominous piano keys. Nardo brings his signature monotone flow to the track, reminiscent of 21 Savage’s style.
