Travis Knight to direct Sony's "Uncharted" with

Reports show that Sony has struck a deal with director Travis Knight (Bumblebee) to direct the upcoming movie adaptation of popular video game Uncharted, with Spider-Man actor Tom Holland in the lead role.

The movie is an Indiana Jones-style adventure in which Holland will play the younger version of Nathan Drake, the protagonist who is the treasure hunter and the main focus of the stories in the video games.

Knight serves as a replacement for Dan Trachtenberg who departed the project back in August.

Sony and Holland reportedly engaged in discussions about the best choice to lead the production of Uncharted and Knight’s name was the final pick.
